Many people in my community could use a hand. Older people, disabled people, and new single moms, for example, probably have a hard time keeping their home beautiful. A team of volunteers and I will go to their home and plant flowers, paint, and make their home beautiful and liven their spirits.
I will first go to churches and other community organizations to find volunteers and ask for names of people who may have a hard time keeping up their home due to age, disability, sickness, grieving, etc. I will choose a span of days to help out. Then I will use the money to buy new paint, flowers, stones, mulch, or whatever else someone might need to make a home look new. This project could draw together a community and encourage kids and even adults to get out and do something truly selfless and good. More importantly, this will make someone’s life a lot easier by giving them a beautiful home and letting them know that their community truly cares for them.
