: SOLFoodFestival
On Sept. 29th, join others as you venture into an outdoor mecca of food, farms, and community as SOL Food connects you to the basis of all life...what you eat. An urban park filled with children and families, students and teachers, chefs and farmers, all united to promote good food for all.
The SOL Food Festival was founded to connect community to the food that sustains it. The festival grew from 5,000 people and 50 exhibitors in 2010 to 7,000 people and 80 exhibitors in 2011. 2012 will surpass previous records. $5000 will help SOL Food install three educational stages throughout the park, multiple children’s experiential learning zones, hands on cooking demos, a petting zoo, a taste tent, and our wildly popular local food court known as the ‘Garden of Eatin.’ SOL Food is held in partnership with the Santa Barbara County Foodbank. Our collective goal is to provide healthy food for ALL people while providing educational and engaging opportunities to facilitate ‘being the change.’ Help SOL Food connect and inspire!
